The Partnership for Research in Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMaRE) is a consortium of marine renewable energy experts across higher education, research and industry which have joined together to establish a ‘network of excellence’ centred in the South of the UK.
The PRIMaRE network is focused on knowledge sharing through a multilevel approach (i.e. post-docs, senior researchers, industry developers and PhD students) rather than just at a project or PhD student level. The network’s research efforts to develop marine renewable energy are consolidated through the PRIMaRE research priorities document – this is a live document which is periodically consulted and reviewed with industry and academia. The PRIMaRE network sets the seeds for strong future collaborations in marine renewable energy development and implementation.
