Cornwall Maritime Strategy Survey

The Cornwall Maritime Strategy was adopted by Cornwall Council in 2012, after extensive stakeholder engagement and public consultation. The strategy reflects the Council’s broad range of maritime functions, plus the interests of wider maritime stakeholders in Cornwall.
Cornwall Council committed to review the strategy every 5 years. In 2017, the Council’s Maritime Working Group undertook a review of the strategy and concluded that it was still fit for purpose and would only need a very light-touch refresh to bring it up to date with the current context and forthcoming trends. It was decided to include a short summary of the achievements that have been delivered since adoption, the priorities for the next five years and potential Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for monitoring delivery of the strategy.
Cornwall Council welcomes input from the wider maritime sector and interest groups on the achievements, priorities and KPI’s for the refreshed maritime strategy to ensure it continues to be relevant to Cornwall’s current and future needs. A short online survey and the draft refreshed strategy is available via the Council’s website here. The closing date for responses is midnight on Friday 14th September 2018.
