New post-doctoral position available at the University of Plymouth

A new post-doctoral position is open at the University of Plymouth.

Position: COAST Research Fellow

Description:

Marine-i is a GBP 9.3m project supported by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is being delivered in partnership with Exeter University, Cornwall College Group, Cornwall Marine Network, the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and Cornwall Development Company.

We are seeking a research fellow with the COAST Laboratory, COAST Research Group and Marine-i project, you will be working within the COAST Research Group in the School of Engineering. You will contribute to new and ongoing projects in marine and offshore renewable energy and support the activities of the COAST Laboratory and COAST Research Group. As part of this post, you will join the Marine-I project for half of your time until 31 December 2019. You will deliver business led innovation in marine technology within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly's marine technology smart specialism theme. In collaboration with project partners you will undertaking research for Cornwall based SME's along with beneficiaries of the Marine-i Global Challenges Fund (GCF).

You will have a PhD in marine renewable energy (wave tank testing). You will require specialist knowledge of physical modelling in a relevant area, advanced knowledge of research methods, research design and significant experience of undertaking applied qualitative and quantitative research projects.
